The revitalization of Jakarta’s Halim Perdanakusuma Airport (Halim Airport) will begin on Wednesday, January 26, 2022. This activity is carried out as a follow-up to the issuance of Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 9 of 2022 concerning Revitalization of Indonesian National Army Base Facilities/Halim Perdanakusuma Airport.

“With the start of revitalization, Halim Airport will be temporarily closed starting January 26, 2022. The closing time is estimated to be a maximum of 3.5 months,” explained Ministry of Transportation Spokesperson Adita Irawati through a press statement in Jakarta, on Friday (21/1/2022).

She explained that the Ministry of Transportation through the Directorate General of Civil Aviation had asked airport operators and airlines to prepare passenger handling steps such as flight cancellations, ticket refunds, flight route diversions, and so on.

“We also urge people who have purchased plane tickets with departures through Halim Airport to contact the airline so that the next handling process will be carried out,” said Adita.
